Market Leader in NetFlow Analysis Delivers Virtual Visibility to Expedite Troubleshooting and Ensure Security across Virtual Environment
ATLANTA, August 24, 2009 - Lancope, Inc., the provider of the StealthWatch® System, the Best in NetFlow Analysis and the most widely used network behavior analysis (NBA) solution for unified visibility across physical and virtual networks, today announced that StealthWatch FlowSensorTM VE has passed VMware Ready virtual appliance package testing by VMware and is now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog (http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/229453). The FlowSensor VE is the free, low impact virtual appliance that exports NetFlow v9 and key application metrics to enable comprehensive visibility, performance monitoring and securing of virtual environments.
Passing VMware virtual appliance testing helps ensure that the StealthWatch FlowSensor VE is compatible with VMware technology and ready for deployment in customer environments. Once deployed on a VMware ESX host, the FlowSensor VE exports vital traffic statistics to the StealthWatch Xe for NetFlow collector appliance, or any NetFlow v9-capable collection technology, for critical analysis. When deployed in conjunction with the StealthWatch System, the FlowSensor VE maximizes the benefits associated with server virtualization, including gaining virtual network topological and location awareness, securing virtual networks, demonstrating compliance, controlling VM sprawl and tracking virtual machine movement.
"The StealthWatch FlowSensor VE provides enterprise visibility to help improve security and performance in the virtual environment, while preserving IT cost savings and minimizing complexity through ease of deployment as a VMware virtual appliance," said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware. "We are pleased that StealthWatch FlowSensor VE qualifies for the VMware Ready logo, signifying to customers that the features of the StealthWatch FlowSensor VE are now available in VMware-qualified virtual appliance."
"By achieving VMware Ready status, StealthWatch FlowSensor VE not only adheres to VMware's standards but also aligns Lancope's leadership in NetFlow analysis with VMware's virtual market leadership," said Harland LaVigne, president and CEO of Lancope. "Answering market demand for a high-performance solution that delivers virtual visibility without sacrificing performance or cost savings, Lancope excels in delivering unified visibility across physical and virtual environments."
The VMware Ready program is a VMware co-branding program for qualified partner products and is a benefit of the VMware TAP program. With more than 1,000 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.

Atlanta, March 2, 2009- Lancope®, Inc., the provider of StealthWatch®, the Best in NetFlow Analysis (http://lancope.web8.hubspot.com/08052008.aspx) and the most widely used network behavior analysis (NBA) and response system, today announced it has joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. The VMware TAP program helps technology vendors integrate their products with VMware virtualization software and deliver timely, joint solutions to mutual customers.
"We are excited to welcome Lancope as the newest member of the VMware TAP program," said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware. "The VMware TAP program offers companies like Lancope the tools and resources they need to develop high-value solutions that meet the needs of our mutual customers."
"VMware is recognized as a market leader for delivering the most trusted virtualization platform for running applications," said Harland LaVigne president and CEO for Lancope. "By coupling our technologies, Lancope extends flow-based expertise in delivering physical network visibility to virtual environments by analyzing virtual traffic to detect and address configuration problems, inefficiencies in resource allocation, security violations and policy violations before any failure or degraded performance can occur. Working with VMware we provide our mutual customers unprecedented visibility to improve security and performance in the virtual environment, while minimizing complexity and preserving IT cost savings."
Recently Lancope announced a free virtual appliance-the StealthWatch FlowSensorTM VE, which provides great visibility into virtual machine (VM) traffic and application data across all VMs deployed on a VMware ESX host. The StealthWatch FlowSensor VE facilitates Enterprises to maximize the benefits associated with server virtualization and address multiple challenges: gaining virtual network topological and location awareness, securing virtual networks, demonstrating compliance, controlling VM sprawl and tracking virtual machines when they are moved via VMware VMotion. The StealthWatch FlowSensor VE seamlessly integrates with the physical StealthWatch System to unify visibility across virtual and physical networks and enable central management and monitoring of global infrastructures from a single dashboard.
